Design lives a moment of expansion, recognition, mutation and integration that other disciplines would envy. It retains its aura and transcends the realm of the tangible to become a form of thought, dialogue and ontology. Amid these processes, is it worthwhile to think what will become of design? Can design capture another vision of humans, the cultures and ecosystems that surround them? Have designers thought about what will happen next?
Cumulus 2019 places us in this transition, at a border crossing, in an eclectic habitat: a contradictory and vital place. In Bogotá, Colombia, different perspectives will be found transcending the discipline and questioning the future of design.
